When you download an image, you get a license to use it. Here is what that means in everyday terms.

You can

• Use the image in commercial and personal projects — ads, websites, social posts, decks, products.
• Edit it however you like, including with our AI tools.
• Use it across print and digital, worldwide, with no expiry (print runs up to 500,000 copies for stock photos).

You can't

• Resell or redistribute the image on its own, as if it were your stock to license.
• Use it in a way that's unlawful, or that implies endorsement by a person shown without the proper release.

Stock photos

Stock photos are licensed from their creators through 123RF. Every license includes legal protection of up to $5,000 if a claim arises from the photo itself. Any model-release or editorial-only limits shown on the photo still apply.

AI-generated images

You can use images you create with AI in commercial and personal projects. They don't include legal protection. In many countries, AI-generated images can't be protected by copyright, so others may be free to use similar images. Don't use prompts that recreate real people, brands, logos, or copyrighted characters.

Edited images

Editing a stock photo, with our tools or with AI, doesn't change its license. Legal protection covers the original photo, not changes added to it.
